EH&S conducts annual Lab Safety Reviews of all MS State research, academic, and diagnostic labs. These reviews aim to assess facility design, communicate critical safety guidance, and help ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Safety Equipment Certifications
EH&S either performs routine certification or stipulates certification via a professional service provider for critical safety equipment.

Training Information
General Lab Safety training is required annually for all laboratory personnel; this 1-hour course is designed to aid researchers in identifying hazards, understanding chemical and physical hazards, and to aid them in mitigating the inherent risks of working in a laboratory.
Lab Closeouts
Vacated research spaces must be appropriately decommissioned to assure a safe environment for future occupants. In addition to proper lab and equipment decontamination, lab decommissioning necessitates completion of an EH&S Lab Closeout Review.
